I am a week late but I still want to share my struggles, successes and results from last week. Week 3 had many of the same challenges as week 2 including a few holiday parties some of which self induced.
On Sunday the 12th I hosted a cookie party with my favorite Califronia ladies. I will blog in more detail about that in the coming days. However I will share how it related to my weight loss. The fun in this type of party is baking home-made cookies and sharing them and the recipes with the other ladies. Baking / cooking is one of the silent killers when it comes to your diet. It’s easy to find your self tasting and munching while cooking adding calories that may seem small at the time but slowly add up. My trick to prevent indulging while baking is to sip on flavored sparkling water (grapefruit is my personal fav). It tastes like a cocktail without all the calories and reducing the desire to taste. If your hungry try eating raw peppers that have a very bold taste and don’t mix well with that sweet cookie batter.
Time for week 3 results
Miles logged – 6
Gym hours – 5.5
Pounds lost – 1.9
While 1.9 is below my desired 2 pounds per week, we are talking about the difference of an article of clothing so I’m putting this one in the win column.
